Rules of Engagement

The Innovation Challenge is open to all certified minority- and women-owned businesses (certification criteria defined by NMSDC and WBENC). The submitted innovation and solution proposals must address one or both of the categories presented in this Challenge (see categories of challenges in the previous page)


Upon entry, Kraft Foods’ Supplier Diversity Innovation Challenge Executive Team will make every effort to evaluate the proposals objectively and reserve the right to contact suppliers for more information and clarifications before the decision date.

There will be 2 rounds of evaluations.  In the first round the Supplier Diversity Innovation Challenge Executive Team − a team of 9 members representing every category at Kraft Foods – will review all submissions and select the top 10 ideas/suppliers.  In the second round, these semifinalists will be further evaluated by a group of senior leaders representing each procurement category and business unit to select the top 5 ideas/suppliers

These 5 winners will receive an invitation to present their solutions and ideas to a key group of Kraft Foods’ management team, as well as be recognized and announced on Kraft Foods’ Supplier Diversity website and quarterly newsletter
